World War I High School History Project

March 31, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - April 2, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

To honour the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, Heritage London Foundation has invited students from the Thames Valley District School Board Grade 10 classes to present their projects on the First World War. 40 of these projects will be on display in the Great Hall of the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate.

As 2017 is the centenary of the building of the Williams’s home, Heritage London Foundation will be holding a number of special events designed to showcase the house beginning with the High School History Project. Dr. Hadley Williams served in the Great War as a medical officer and there will be a small display devoted to his service career. Four experienced judges will award prizes to the best two student projects.

The prizes will be presented on the evening of April 3rd at the Annual General Meeting of Heritage London Foundation.  The displays can be visited March 31st-April 2nd from 12 Noon – 5 PM.
